Born and raised in the DC metropolitan area, Sarah is a queer actor based in New York City, known for her grounded, funny work on stage and screen. Her national and international credits include Dorothy in the North American tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Wizard of Oz and Abigail Williams in Keegan Theatre's Ireland tour of The Crucible. She has also performed at regional houses across the US, including Asolo Rep (FL), Axelrod Performing Arts Center (NJ), and the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in DC.
On screen and in the booth, she played a supporting role in the film Finding Love in Saint Lucia, was featured in the podcast series The Murder Years, and has appeared in commercial, print, and voiceover work.
Sarah especially loves working in comedy and improv. Critics have praised her "delicate modern comic timing" (Edmonton Journal) and the way she can "mine a great deal of humor" from a part (Pittsburgh Times Online). She trained in improv and musical improv at The Magnet and Improv Hawaii, and was a featured performer at the 2023 Hawaii Comedy Festival. These days, you can catch her around the city with her musical improv team, Bogart.
She is passionate about collaborating with up-and-coming writers and composers and bringing contemporary energy to classic canon. Her staged reading and lab credits include the Broadway League, Powerhouse at Vassar, the Center for Jewish History, BMI Workshop, New York City Children's Theatre, and Transformation Theatre in Maryland.
